ROOT

Find the root cause.

REBUILD

Rebuild your tissues back to a pain free capacity via a tailored movement prescription and plan.

RESILIENCY

Create resiliency in those tissues to reduce the risk of future injury.

Our resiliency program is a 2 day per week accessory program designed to bulletproof your body. Every 8 weeks we will rotate through different body regions that are prone to injury in functional fitness athletes. Areas include the lower back, shoulder, knees, and hips.

There are mobility drills, specific strengthening exercises and evidence based tests of strength and power to see where you stack up and if you are improving.

This program was designed by yours truly, a physical therapist who’s passion is keeping gym goers out of pain, and resilient into old age.

In-person injury assessments are a crucial part of the rehabilitation process for individuals who have sustained injuries or are experiencing physical discomfort. These assessments involve a comprehensive evaluation of the patient’s condition to develop a personalized treatment plan.

Recovery sessions include specialized treatment approaches to help with pain relief, muscle recovery, and improved mobility. Each technique targets different aspects of the musculoskeletal system and can be used in combination to enhance the overall therapeutic effect. Here’s a brief overview of each technique:

  1. Dry Needling: Dry needling involves inserting thin, solid needles into trigger points or tight muscles to alleviate pain and improve muscle function. Trigger points are tender areas within the muscle that can cause pain, weakness, and restricted movement. The needles used in dry needling are similar to those used in acupuncture, but the principles and techniques behind the two practices are different.

  2. Cupping: Cupping therapy involves placing cups on the skin to create a vacuum or suction effect. This helps to increase blood flow to the treated area, promote tissue relaxation, and reduce muscle tension. Cupping is often used to alleviate muscle soreness and tightness.

  3. Myofascial Scraping (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, or IASTM): Myofascial scraping involves using specialized tools to apply pressure and friction to the surface of the skin over muscles and fascia (connective tissue). This technique aims to break up adhesions and scar tissue, release muscle knots, and improve tissue mobility.

Online pain consultations provide a way for individuals to receive remote assessment and treatment for pain-related issues virtually.

While online pain consultations offer convenience and accessibility, there are limitations compared to in-person visits. Hands-on techniques like manual therapy may not be possible through telehealth, and some conditions may require in-person assessment and treatment. However, for certain cases, virtual physical therapy can still be a valuable tool to address pain, improve function, and promote recovery.

Once I have an understanding of your individual needs, I can develop a remote rehab program for you to follow using a convenient app at home. Whether it’s continuing to stay healthy after finishing rehab or some guidance with pain in your training, we can guide you remotely and make the programming decisions together!
